CAST LINKAGE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
Riley name
plate NOT available EXCEPT FOR RILEY PURCHASERS |
|
For Use With Headers or on any "F"
head OHV conversion like the Riley Two Port.
We have two cast in name plates
"EQUALIZER" (M-E-DD) or
"RILEY TWO PORT"
(M-R-DD). We normally stock "Equalizers" set up for use with exhaust
headers. Call for Riley brands.
The "Equalizer" Intake
Manifold has mount feet machined "oval", with notched type mount holes to
accommodate stock flatheads, flatheads with headers, and other OHV
conversions including the Riley Two Port.
The Equalizer has a mixing plenum. This allows the fuel
to mix and "equalize", which makes it possible to use one functioning carb
and one as a dummy. Perfect for those that want to run a single for their
normal driving and duals for hill climbs and such. A clever guy could rig up
a progressive linkage too. Bosses are cast in for linkage and a vacuum. Cast
in 356-T6 aluminum.
The back side has a
large rectangle boss for those that want to weld on a "hot box" for heat
transfer. Getting any dual intake hot improves its
performance.
Use either Stromberg
(81, 97) or Ford/Holley (92, 94) carbs from the Ford V-8 engines
(1934-1948). Use Strombergs in functioning pairs. The Holleys normally don’t
do well in pairs (unless the "economizer" valve is modified in one carb for dual
usage).
For those with a mind set
toward absolute maximum power the "directional vanes" can be machined out
completely for a shorter run to the ports. This is not required except under
the most extreme race conditions.
We do not provide linkage (available from other suppliers). Fuel inlet on rear carb will
require a specially fabricated 90 degree "banjo" fuel inlet fitting to clear the
distributor (available from other suppliers).
