NOTHING COMPARES

NOTHING SOUNDS LIKE THIS

All specs and pricing are subject to change to improve the header.

Fit all 1928-1934 Model A and Model B flathead set-ups (above) and most OHV conversions like the Miller, Cragar & "F" head OHVs like Riley Two Port and the Roof 101 Cyclone (below).

Photo below shows how the header fits up if it was an "F" OHV head installation like a Riley or Roof. The head shown is actually an aluminum Lion Speed flathead (the only one in the world). Notice the aluminum Port Covers, which cover the unused intake ports of an "F" head setup.

These new headers scream power and they will absolutely give you the power and the look you need.

Plenty of clearance for what ever you need to stuff in down there. These castings are un-retouched and not painted. They are as they were received from the foundry after machining.

Features:

A premium quality header system, that's completely in a class by itself.

An exciting, fresh, era correct look, with a noticeable growling note and improved horse power.

Fit with most  down-draft aftermarket intake manifolds (Burns, Zepher, Winfield, Thomas, Equalizer, etc).

Fine grained nickeled cast iron for extra strength. Same formula the big guys used for durability.

Smooth blasted finish can be painted, plated or porcelained  (That's really nice)

1.5" inlets and  2" diameter outlets, with two bolt oval connector surfaces.

Support tab at outlet on back side. This important tab adds a support leg to one bolt on the valve cover for extra support from vibration (one per header).  Buyer must fabricate this little "L" leg bar from 1/8" X 5/8" bar stock.

Large mount ears are provided drilled and shaped (crow's foot) for stock studs or bolts. Use with large washers (supplied).

Exhaust ring glands (supplied) are used to help center, seal and align the header to the block. Proper counter bores are machined into the inlets.

Outlet is sized to receive a 2" OD steel tube and comes with 4 gland rings, 4 heavy mount washers, 2 weldable steel flanges, 2 flange gaskets and fasteners. Use your bolts. Studs and nuts do not fit as well.

Horse Power increase is estimated to be at least 10HP+ (depending on combination of performance equipment). Dyno testing is scheduled for the late fall of 2009.

There are many ways to connect this system to an exhaust, so many, that it's not practical to provide the wide array of parts and tubes that can be found locally or on the internet. We provide 2  two bolt, heavy gauge, steel flanges for you to weld 2" pipe to.

We recommend the Model A/B steel-composite one piece exhaust gasket. Available as an optional part.

Invented by Floyd Hulegaard, Eugene, Oregon, who sold his patterns to Charlie Yapp, who redesigned, upgraded the function, shape and commissioned new tooling to bring these to the community.

Patent Pending, Copyright Yapp Studios, Inc. 2009.

These next photos show a regular flathead engine setup using a typical after market intake manifold, a Burns in this case.

     Known fit issues:

        1) Normal updraft manifolds will not fit.

 2) Side plates with fixed oil filters will not fit, nor will side timing covers with horizontal oil filters.

      3) Side powered magnetos and pumps will not fit.

One Install Idea:  Run two 90 degree bent 2" pipes down and back to a steel "dual" "exhaust tip" used as a collector, then on back to whatever you need.

Or use two exhaust tubes for a very unique sound.
