The Secrets Of Speed Society, is dedicated to celebrating the people, history, technology and equipment of high performance Model "A" "B" & T" four cylinder Fords as used around the world for daily driving, cross-country touring and racing. We believe that there is a whole world of "Speed and Sport" to be shared on how antique Fords were and are being used after the assembly line. The S.O.S.S. is not now, nor has it ever been, associated with any other "four banger" speedy organization. . . Copied? Yes . . . but we are the original. THIS IS HOW THE S.O.S.S. OPERATES The S.O.S.S. is not a club. We call it an Association. There are no officers (therefore no egos to pander to) nor any bylaws. Charlie Yapp is the Founder, Executive Director and Editor, his decisions are final. There are no meetings. We work very hard to make no profit. Our only goal is to provide a damn good journal for your entertainment and education. We have a gathering, once in awhile, to meet and greet at our place in southern Ohio. The Society is a division of Yapp Studios, Inc. The only regulation is that, all members are to pay their yearly dues on time AND each member is asked to provide photographs, written articles and related material to its journal Secrets Magazine, with the goal to better educate its members about the history of Ford Model T, A and B Speed & Sport. . . . we are interested in what you are doing, building and driving as well as old historical paper . . .We barrow your old photo(s) and paper(s) and scan the documents for publishing and safely return them. We can not pay for any articles or photographs. We understand that not all members will be able to send in materials yearly . . . but we are patient and hope to hear from you soon. |

Above is the great George Riley VINTAGE SPEED & SPORT AT ITS BEST The Society (S.O.S.S.) is doing it's best to save the history of "Speed and Sport" as it happened in the old days of Ford Model "A", "B" & "T" driving, cross country touring, hill climbs and racing of all types (1920 through 1934 to today). We take great pride in our collections and restorations of rare speed equipment, Speedsters and cars that raced (yesterday and today) or cruised the landscape of our country (in fact, many of the countries of this world). We are truly international in scope with an average of 2500 + members around the world.
Secrets, Vintage Ford Speed & Sport, Magazine Our prime educational tool is our official Journal, Secrets, the Vintage Ford Speed & Sport Magazine. Published quarterly, with 52 glossy color and b&w pages packed with facts, figures, drawings and photographs. We tell the stories of our members, past advertising, new products and events to show and tell about speedsters, hill climbs, open wheeled racers, cross country touring and performance for for Model T and A and B Fords 1909 to 1934. Members get unlimited rights to advertise in the Classified Ads. Display advertising is available at fair low prices and is generally used by suppliers of vintage speed parts and services who think having 2500+ members . . . and who knows how many pass throughs to friends occur?
